The UK Independent Contractor Delivery Platform Compliance Standard
The Virtuous Contractor Standards Institute is the division of Virtuous Restaurants Ltd responsible for developing, maintaining, and publishing the compliance standard under which this platform operates.
The standard governs every dimension of fair, documented, legally grounded operation in the independent contractor food delivery model.

The Standard In Practice
Every driver registers through a 20-section form. Every partner restaurant signs an agreement with a documented allergen protocol, a sealing procedure, and a liability framework that allocates responsibility fairly at every stage. Every customer places an order knowing precisely who they are contracting with, under a checkout disclosure built to withstand scrutiny.
These are not claims. They are documents. Every one of them is available.
The Sealing Standard
Responsibility transfers in three defined zones.
Before sealing: the restaurant is responsible.
After sealing, before PIN: the driver is responsible.
After PIN: delivery is confirmed.
Three zones. No grey areas. Every order. Every time.
The Allergen Standard
Every partner restaurant on this platform is contractually obligated to maintain complete allergen information. Every ordering interface displays it. Every quarter, the platform formally requests written confirmation that the information is current. Every such communication is logged and retained for six years.
We do not guess on allergens. We document them.
The Driver Standard
Every driver on this platform is a fully independent self-employed subcontractor. That independence is a contractual right, not a marketing position.
The driver may refuse any delivery.
The driver may work for other platforms simultaneously.
The platform does not monitor working hours or routes.
The platform does not impose minimum engagement requirements.
Acceptance of any task is always and permanently voluntary.
The Document Standard
Every document in this framework is version-controlled. Every policy carries an effective date. Every amendment applies prospectively only. No party is ever bound by a term they were not informed of before they agreed.
The Communications Standard
All authorised communications from this platform originate from a published list of addresses available at virtuousrestaurants.com/authorised-communications.
Driver compliance matters — including document verification, right-to-work correspondence, and all contractual communications — are managed by the Virtuous Contractor Standards Institute.
